Patrick Chang is the Founder and Managing Partner of Dispersion Capital, an early-stage venture firm investing in infrastructure for decentralized intelligence.
Across approximately two decades in technology finance and venture capital, Patrick has invested in infrastructure companies at the point where technical necessity was visible before the commercial category was established. Representative investments include Alchemy, Dapper Labs, Forte, Blockstack, Branch, Volterra, CAST AI, Kite AI, Sahara AI, 0G, and Primus.
Before founding Dispersion Capital in 2022, Patrick invested at Samsung NEXT, Cota Capital, Investor Growth Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, and Foundation Capital. He began his career in technology investment banking and M&A at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers.
Patrick’s work sits at the intersection of technical architecture, enterprise adoption, and early-stage category formation. He has developed and invested behind theses across blockchain, edge computing, open-source infrastructure, and AI since 2014.
